Refactor your CSS, they said. It'll be fun, they said. 1
Well, it started okay, adding some additional variables to simplify dark mode and tidying things up with some more pseudo-elements.
Then I realised that I needed to rework everything to use the new variables. As I type this, it's still a work in progress and may be janky for a little while...
UPDATE I think we're just about there, but let me know if you see anything obviously wrong.
I've managed to reduce the main CSS file by 250 lines, so that can't be bad.
