I wrapped up my wife's presents whilst listening to one of my old hard techno mix tapes from 1992. Not particularly festive, I'll grant you, but it got the job done. I sold all my records and turntables when my wife was pregnant with our eldest daughter but it's amazing what stays with you over 20 years later like "this was on clear blue vinyl" or "the picture on the label was a weird face".

@colinwalker I managed to keep the hifi until my oldest was 18mo and my wife was expecting our second. We've added two more since then, and wouldn't change any of it. (I still have a few gems in long-term storage for a day when they all are old enough to be existential threats to my records.)

@lukemperez I only kept one record but that was just because I did the artwork on the label 😂
