A brief flicker of normality as we went to a garden centre to get herbs and vegetables to grow in the garden. I have no desire to return to most shops, food and clothes shopping can be done perfectly well online, but it was nice to get amongst the plants and think about eating what they produce in a couple of months time.
We've always tried to grow at least some of our own food everywhere we've lived and here is no exception. Being rented we can't go digging up the garden so I've spent time over the past couple of days putting together wooden planters in readiness. It will be nice to give the garden a bit of personality.
