Thursday last week saw me back at the doctor's for a two month review of the fluoxetine. While it's certainly better than the citalopram (not hard) I don't think it's fully there yet.

My wife says my mood swings have been less frequent but more noticeable, wider. I'm not sure if they appear that way because there is a bigger gap or whether there is actually a bigger swing. Could the size be inversely proportional to frequency? 1

My dosage has been doubled and I've got to keep a "mood diary" to see if I settle or if the swings get even wider on a higher dose.

Now that I've been on this for a week I think I'm a bit more stable, but I'll really need to check in with my wife as she is the one who really notices. I often find it hard to judge how I am; what I often consider feeling flat is actually a low but it doesn't seem to register that way with me.

  1. Apparently there's no direct correlation between duration and severity
