Blogs are like digital time machines. When did I do this thing? When did I visit that place? I can usually search the blog and be reminded.
It's not infallible but it works more often than not.
There are, however, these big gaps when I didn't post for months. I know what was happening in a wider sense (I was always struggling with my mental health) but there is no context, no colour, no details, no minutiae.
Often, things are supplemented by the journal but, these last few months, that has also lain empty.
Not writing on the blog doesn't bother me as much as not sticking to journalling. It's an undertaking I need to rekindle.
