Bluesky invite codes

This is an RSS Club only post! Please do not share.

I was wondering what to do with the Bluesky invite codes I have and where it made sense to include them on the site – or if I should at all.

@millions.neocities.org suggested putting them in an RSS only post and I think that's a great idea. Rather than make them fully public I can narrow the audience.

so, here are the current invite codes available:

  • bsky-social-r7n3n-j4kr3

  • bsky-social-6jqwf-grldp

  • bsky-social-edcsk-ro75t

  • bsky-social-z6qvm-mjrbw

  • bsky-social-v6oq7-bq6qi

Let me know if you use one so I can cross it off the list. (I will also be able to check within Bluesky itself but a quick heads up is always appreciated.)

Seeing Paul Frazee's post about why they use rich text facets on Bluesky reminded me that I need to integrate this into my cross-posting function.

I have a test page where I successfully trialled converting a Markdown link to a link facet but haven't integrated the code yet.

Update it would seem that my posting to Bluesky has broken somehow so I'll have to work out why. An issue with the refresh token perhaps?

@colinwalker But on the plus side the RSS feed…

“There were no posts on 18/01/2024”

is neat. 👍

Been doing that for years, just seems like a nice touch to let folks know their feed reader isn't playing up 😉
