One day last week, while I was still working, the rest of the family took Jac for a walk and found a loose dog. I got a phone call and we brought him home while my daughter tried to get in touch with the owner via the phone number on his tag.
The owner came round to collect him about an hour later but in that time Jac had such a good time that we decided to get a second dog to keep him company. Well, my wife has wanted to get a second dog for a while – I just gave in. 😊
So, we might have got Jac a friend yesterday.
Meet Roxie.

It's almost impossible to get a photo as she hardly ever sits still. 😆
She's a 5th generation purebred French bulldog, 1 almost a year old, who we just fell in love with from the pictures we'd seen. Her previous family needed to re-home her as they couldn't give her the love and attention she deserved (they have a one year old child with cerebral palsy).
We went to see her last night and she took to us straight away which was apparently unusual for her with strangers.
They're currently doing the 'getting to know you and setting boundaries' thing, which will no doubt last a few days, but they seem to enjoy each other's company.

we have the Kennel Club certificate but that's got nothing to do with why we wanted her ↩
