Happy Friday.

Working from home suits me but it's undeniable that starting a new role over this past week has been, shall we say, a bit awkward. I have been on numerous calls and meetings but they are no real substitute for getting your bearings in person with your new colleagues.

It wasn't really until Wednesday when a meeting definitively thrashed out my immediate responsibilities but, even then, there are aspects left open ended.

Saying that, it's been good to start contributing to the project I'm working on and, thanks to previous experience, helping colleagues in areas that I'm not entirely expected to.
