I need to improve on the drafts functionality for (b)log-In. Currently, I just use them to save initial work on a post so that I don't lose it β this is usually so that I can switch to other apps on my phone to gather links or edit photos etc.
The feature is very basic, simply inserting the draft at the time it was first created. I don't account for the modified date/time when publishing and there is no way of seeing drafts outside of the normal blog page.
To do:
create a new Drafts page only accessible when logged in
when a draft is published alter the date & permalink to reflect the new published date/time
That'll give me something to work on in the evenings while I'm away.
I have a version of the 'Drafts' page in place that will display all drafts and allow me to edit them βΒ it is essentially just a stripped back version of the main blog page without sections that are not required.
I'm now trying to sort out the code to update the permalink etc. when a draft is published.
There's one last test I need to do tomorrow: ensure that a draft created on one day is successfully moved into the correct place on another day when actually published. If that works properly then I'm ready to update the repository.
I've made a couple of other tweaks as well, and done a bit of prep for drafts, which have already been merged.
