I've written so much about this over the years, about the platforms, the wealth of options available and the resultant paradox of choice.
My workflow used to be to go to whatever writing or notes app I was using, type away then employ whatever means were required to get that text to the blog: copy/paste into the WordPress mobile app, an iOS Shortcut, a custom action in Drafts. The list goes on.
Now, I just go to my blog hit the + button and type. If the post is going to be longer or not finished in one go I'll save it as a draft or compose it in the Digital Garden (again, just click and type) but the core blogging experience is to just type, in place, no other tools required.
And that feels amazing.
@colinwalker when you say you just click + and start typing are you talking about blogging on micro.blog or do you use something else?
I'm talking about my own custom blogging system.
