# So, Blizzard have put back the launch for Shadowlands until later this year. It's a shame it's been delayed but good news if it wasn't ready and they're not being stubborn about the date and releasing something that's broken. At least the pre-patch has been confirmed as 13th October, not that there's going to be much to do unless you want to level new characters.
# Tonight's the night (11pm UK time) for the launch of Shadowlands, the next World of Warcraft expansion, after being delayed. The pre-patch was pretty meh but I'm hoping for good things in the expansion itself.
Today is going to be a long day (up at 5:30am for the early shift) but I've got tomorrow off work to recover and get a good headstart on levelling.
# Two fortunes in the same cookie and they both said:
@colinwalker Sorry! Okay, maybe that empty fortune cookie is just the shock they need. Maybe they open their fortune cookie, see nothing inside, square their shoulders, and — with a crescendo of brass and tympani over lush strings, shifting to the relative major — they say in a calm, strong voice, “All right, then. I will make my own fortune.”
I'm impatient, I always have been. I think it goes hand in hand with the low boredom threshold.
So, you can imagine that having done something on Friday being forced to wait 5-10 days for a follow up mail allowing me to take the next step is excruciating. Not to mention that even once I have full confirmation I've still got to wait until February. (More will be revealed after I at least get that initial mail.)
Part of the impatience is excitement, wanting to crack on as quickly as possible, yet part of it is also dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs and that's really no way to live, it's unhealthy but that's just how I am.
The problem is that things become "the new shiny" only to fade very quickly and I'm back at stage one. What I desperately don't want is for this new thing to be a fad, I don't think it is. It's something I've wanted to do since I was at school so has been a lifelong dream. I just hope that the reality matches the dream.
