Today is the first day on the new meds.

While there are some possible similar side effects, I'm hoping for a more positive result; that my body doesn't reject them as it seemed to be doing with the sertraline.

Citalopram has a higher bioavailability, so needs a smaller dose compared to sertraline. This should, hopefully, reduce the likelihood of having side effects.

It can typically take 5-6 days for the sertraline to break down. It will also take 1-2 weeks for the citalopram to kick in. The transition period is going to be … interesting.
