Back in September, I wrote in the journal that I hadn't played WoW for weeks. I still haven't.

I cancelled my sub (again) in November — why pay if it's not being used.

Unlike previous times when I've stopped playing, I haven't felt the urge, or need, to return with an impending new expansion. The weeks leading up to one are when I usually go back, absorb the pre-patch storyline and prepare for what's coming.

I mentioned this when talking to my wife, she said it's probably because I've been so focused on music recently. Maybe, but it feels different this time; there is absolutely no compulsion to return.

It almost seems like I'm done with it, and I'm not sure how to feel about that.
