Now that I've got a few bits of rack gear in the studio 1 I started thinking about getting a rack or cabinet to house them.

Then I had an idea!

While getting the room ready for the studio, I took apart some old furniture but kept a number of pieces as I was going to put them in the loft.

Why not use some of these and build my own cabinet?

So that's what I did. Well, I made a proof of concept so that I could see if it would work and what else I needed β€” what size screws etc.

It's very rough and ready β€” and wonky β€” but I learned a lot.
