I said that I was going to be concentrating on the MS-1, but it hasn't really turned out that way.

There was a quick foray into a lead sound of sorts, a typically nasal 101 thing that only worked when gliding between notes. That was a couple of weeks ago and I didn't take a picture or make a note of settings.

A couple of nights ago, I went in a different direction: a simple bass patch that actually holds some promise.

What's irking me, however, is that, while the MS-1 is more flexible and sounds better than it ever should, I just don't find it … fun.

Maybe that's because I haven't put in the hours, haven't got to the stage where I can intuitively change the sliders and get what I want.

Everything with it is currently a chore.

Well, it would appear that I've got covid again for the second time in three months. That's about the sixth time in total.

The timing couldn't be worse as were supposed to be visiting our youngest daughter later in the week.

The test result was a faint positive so I'm hoping it's on the way out and I'll be negative for when we go.
