This has been a music free weekend.
Yes, I've reviewed the current ideas and considered where to take them but haven't fired up the gear or DAW.
It's been nice to have a break.
I wanted to step back and let things settle rather than rush them. Hopefully, this will show in the end result.
I'm usually impatient and want to get things out as soon as possible. The two ongoing ideas will complete the new release but, this time, I'm resisting the temptation. It will be ready when it's ready.
The second idea emerged when looking to adjust something for the first. Consequently, they have a similar feel so will have similar titles.
# The "Ode to Chicago" took on a life of its own and no longer matched the intended title. It has, therefore, become "Ode to Wherever" as it now incorporates different influences.
I think the new release will be my most musically accomplished, likely because I'm sticking to a strict set of rules which require me to be more considered in what I'm creating.
