It's obviously DIY week. The top hinge on our side gate seized and the screws pulled out of the post.

I had to replace the bottom hinge a couple of years ago and still had the other spare from the pack I bought back then.

I need to formalise my thoughts on how I want any 'blogging pen pal' interactions to shape up. My initial thoughts were that I didn't really want to conduct them on a strict monthly basis or post the full text of conversations.

New (or enhanced) connections are often best left to develop organically but perhaps there is something to be said for imparting at least some structure to proceedings. At least all parties know exactly where they stand.

I will have to think on this a little more so that I can put something on my /hello page (or maybe create a separate page for it) but I'm willing to try things and be guided.
