Since having to reinstall MacOS Ventura I've been having issues with my editor of choice, CotEditor, not autocompleting etc. despite all of the settings being set correctly.

I've tried all sorts over the years but had settled on CotEditor a while back as it was light and quick and didn't need a bunch of extensions to play nicely with PHP. The problems I've been having meant that I was on the lookout for something else and had looked at Brackets but wasn't sold.

When talking about fonts, Kev mentioned VSCodium – the 'Microsoft free' version of VSCode – which I've tried briefly in the past but it never stuck. I thought I'd give it another go and it looks like it's improved considerably, especially with native PHP support, from my first foray.

I'm going to give it a spin for a while and see how it goes.
