I keep using my home page like a fidget toy – hovering over each part (tapping, on mobile) just to watch the little transitions. It's oddly satisfying and calming.
Last night, I also added an event listener to the footer that triggers a very short vibration, just little bit of sensory feedback, when tapping on a link – supported devices like phones only of course. I might add it to buttons as well. It feels fun at the moment but will it become annoying? We'll see.

On this day a year ago I wrote:
While the blog itself remains a typically chronological record, I want the whole thing to become more than just a series of posts. I want it to become a resource, a self-seeding tool for ideas and connections that presents and juxtaposes things in a way I might not normally consider; a mechanism that resurfaces buried treasure so I might have new insights.
/start has its mini threads but doesn't present them in a way that is easily consumed. I have been considering a different view there.
I have also thought about having the 'Random Post' page show two posts instead of one to see if that throws up any unexpected synchronicities. (This is now in place but I need to pretty it up a bit.)
It seems a waste to have all of this information, all of these thoughts and ideas, stashed away and not do anything with it, not to have it feed an ongoing discussion – if only with myself.
The blog is as much (if not more so) a series of notes from past and present me to future me as it is a way of sharing with others. As I've said before, I want to mix things up and try to think of new ways to present all of this.

While not working on PHP-MST my rssCloud server has been sitting largely idle.
What a waste.
The whole idea of creating it was to be able to use it so, to confirm everything is working correctly, I have changed the cloud details for the Daily feed to use it and resubbed in /reader.
If everything goes according to plan overnight (I don't see why it wouldn't) I will also switch the live feed.

Over the years, I have written a number of posts wondering what I should be doing with the blog. They usually follow a pattern: I don't think it's eno…
