Version 1.0 of 'hyblog' has been made public and is on GitHub here. It's more a 'proof of concept' and an experiment just to see what I could do without a database.
I've already had ideas about how this can be made extensible with the simple creation of pages (just type the page title and markdown contents in a form and boom!) but that's for another day.
The demo site is over at my other domain, .me.uk.

I've already made a change to hyblog to move posts and comments to a /posts/ sub folder. It doesn't affect the functionality but will keep things tidier.
