I've gotten into a groove working with the file posts for hyblog. The RSS feed creation is now done: I get the files collection, grab the most recent ones, then cycle through the specified number of posts to build the feed.

What it does, however, is highlight that I really should come up with a better way of handling the posts in the markdown files. At present it's very basic and means that there is no record of when each post is published, only the date. It's enough to have something for the item pubDate but not as ideal as it should be.

I was thinking about using yaml but it conflicts with markdown so I would have to switch completely. Not happening. Instead, I'm considering having the system add the dates and then use more custom markup to separate it out.
