Since we moved, I had seen only one jay (Eurasian) by the roadside not far from our house. In the past few days I have seen two: one in the same spot as before and one not far round the corner in the opposite direction. They look so majestic, their splashes of colour dazzle as they take flight. It's a shame they rarely break cover.

For the last few days I have been totally addicted to Vampire Survivors on Steam.

It's premise is simple, the graphics are retro, but the gameplay is absorbing. It feels like video games used to when I was a kid before they got too clever and too complex.
