Today is 'launch day' for the Galaxy S22 series. Amid reports that delivery dates for some pre-orders have been dropping back to March or even April, it doesn't look like our devices will arrive today despite being ordered pretty early.

My wife received a mail yesterday saying hers was on the way but delivery could be 3-5 days. I have yet to receive an email. Tracking my order online still says "Waiting for launch day" despite a note below that states "We will despatch your order in time for the launch day of the new device."

Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

While I've been able to get my steps in through walking, tonight was my first run since hurting my leg. Things feel pretty good. No pain, no stiffness, and full range of movement during stretching. I kept things relatively short for the first time back but it's good to be able to run again.

In other news, I spoke to my carrier earlier to see what was happening with my pre-order. Apparently they have had some issues with certain shipments not arriving on time. I should be getting the new phone on Monday.

They were very apologetic and, because they were unable to have it with me on launch day, will be putting £50 credit on my account. With the introductory offer I've got that's more than the first month's payment so a nice gesture and a good result.

Russia may be a permanent member of the UN Security Council but how can it be allowed to vote on, and veto, a resolution condemning its own actions. Surely there should be some provision for that kind of scenario.
