Yesterday was another "no posts day" – I wrote in the Journal "And that's okay. I give myself permission not to blog." We spent much of the day in the car, out in the world, enjoying the sights despite some atrocious weather. There was no need to commit anything to words. Being present was enough.
With nothing to appear in the daily RSS feed it made me realise that I hadn't catered for such an eventuality in the file which builds it. I was so used to posting every day that not posting wasn't a thing. I don't know why I didn't notice after the last time (16/11) but it just didn't sink in.
Now, if all works as it should, a day without posts should say in the daily feed that there were no posts for that day rather than just being empty and looking like it's broken.
The Journal is the streak I care about, that continues to grow and flourish.
