It's my second day in the new office so still enough of a novelty for my brain to do that "I know you have an early alarm set but I'm going to keep waking you up so you don't miss it" thing. I wasn't wearing my watch, so not tracking my sleep, but it seems to have gotten worse with each software update at recognising when I wake up during the night.

I have been considering what to get as my next phone since April, leaning more towards returning to iOS than sticking with Android. More recently, I've contemplated getting the smaller iPhone 13 Pro rather than the Max model.

I could have pulled the trigger recently (as the value of my current Samsung was enough to pay off the contract) but didn't for various reasons. I'm now resigned to keeping it until the end of my contract which ends in March.

I don't need to upgrade now – or even in a few months time if I'm honest – but the desire is there, is always there, due to boredom with the status quo.

With this in mind, I've now been thinking (dangerous I know) that it might be worth keeping the S20 Ultra for an extra 6/7 months and waiting for the iPhone 14 series.

If (even some of) the rumours about the iPhone 14 are true, it may be worthwhile holding off for a while. Obviously, you could play the waiting game forever and never buy a new device because there is 'better' just around the corner but, if the rumours pan out, waiting could make a significant difference.
