The news/rumour that Facebook is going to change its company name – so that the social network is just another service (like WhatsApp and Instagram) allowing it to better focus on the metaverse – is a bit hollow.
Who actually thinks of Alphabet? No, they're just Google in everyone's eyes. It will be the same for Facebook.
I can understand the desire to have the metaverse work seen as a separate effort but the very need to go to such lengths to distance it from the social network is quite damning. The damage has already been done.

In the interests of simplifying and streamlining, I've decided to make the delete and edit icons persistent when logged in rather than toggling them with the 'new post' plus icon.
Not only does it make it quicker to administer items but also separates it from adding a new post.
