Happy Friday!

It's always fun and interesting when things align, call it fate or coincidence or even just serendipity.

As I reach 200 days of journalling the "On This Day" feature from the old WordPress blog reminds me that, today in 2017, an episode of my microcast was about me trying to kick-start a journalling habit using Day One and the differences between writing publicly and privately.

Needless to say that the habit never took hold, but the thoughts I had at the time were perfectly valid.

As much as we say writing on a blog is writing for self, it will always be tempered by the possibility of audience. Journalling, however, is truly writing for that audience of one and with it we can, and should, be more honest with ourselves or it loses both its meaning and effectiveness.

After 200 days I've fully embraced the how but still struggle with the what. I deliberately made it as easy as possible to post knowing that only this would make it stick; what I post, however, has no consistency – that's what I need to work on.
