I'm due to send out the first muse-letter on the new system tomorrow so am, obviously, a bit nervous about it working properly. I'm sure it will be fine (he says trying to convince himself) but you never know for sure. Still, I performed yet another test and it looks okay.

I did have a new sign-up mail drop in my inbox earlier this morning so it's reassuring to know that side of it is working okay and (after checking to be certain) successfully adds addresses to the list in the database.

One thing I'm considering is adding a sign-up notice to the muse-letter page itself rather than relying solely on the Join Me link in the footer. I just need to work out how to best achieve this without it being intrusive but, at the same time, reasonably noticeable.

I spent some of the afternoon building out a version of the private journal for the new site. With it operating on almost identical principles to the blog a bulk of the work was already done so I just had to make one page and hook it up to the existing infrastructure and add a new table.

I now need to look at exporting the entries from the WordPress version, tailor them to the new, simpler format and import them into their new home. With that done I can repoint the streak count and that'll be it.
