Good morning, and a very happy birthday to my wonderful wife!

I've taken the day off work so that we can spend all day celebrating. I'd obviously be at home anyway but this way I won't be sequestered at my desk.

I was right when I said that it would be hard writing Chapter 9, it's probably because it's a lot more personal than the others. At the same time I keep couching it in terms of we not me – hiding in plain sight, almost not admitting things to myself, the very thing I have accused myself of on numerous occasions.
