It's been frosty for the past couple of days but this morning was the first time there was that satisfying winter crunch underfoot.

The depth of frost is directly proportional to the volume of crunch.

The frost sparkled in the street lights like so many fallen stars, a perfect mirror to the expansive sky.

A good start to the day.

I've always loved the Hermetic principle of correspondence: as above, so below; that one mirrors the other - the microcosm and the macrocosm. There is a certain romanticism about it and this was a perfect example.

that’s a lovely description. The bright frosty weather of the last few days have been just what we need.
