# ? I finished Before the Storm by Christie Golden on the way to work this morning. It took just over three days worth of commuting to finish.
As with Durotan and the Warcraft movie novelisation, the previous Warcraft books by her I devoured, she writes wonderfully empathetic characters from both sides of the WoW divide - both Alliance and Horde.
It's a perfect lead-up to the next WoW expansion which I'm now really excited for.
@colinwalker I haven’t read any of those. This sounds like a good one to start with.
@stefp It’s as good as any right now seeing as how it’s tied to the current game timeline. I would, however, advise reading the Windrunner - Three Sisters comic first as it precedes it and is mentioned a couple of times.
