My wife has been ill for the past week but yesterday we had to call the doctor who recommended phoning for an ambulance. Hi temperature, hot & cold, very short of breath. She'd done a Covid test and that was negative. My wife thought it might have been a urinary tract infection.

The paramedics were sufficiently concerned to take her in to hospital where she was placed on intravenous fluids and antibiotics. Turns out it was a particularly bad infection that was causing all sorts of other issues.

They were originally talking about keeping her in but we're back home and she has a course of antibiotics to take for the next two weeks. Scary stuff.

I've had some lower back pain for a couple of weeks. I don't know if it was the uncomfortable hospital chairs but, by the time we left, I could hardly move as I was in so much pain. After driving home I couldn't even reach the handbrake and just broke down. Maybe it was a bit of stress coming out.
