My 2015 MacBook Air appears to have finally given up the ghost. I hadn't used it in a while and went to turn it on – nothing except the screen backlight.
I followed the usual steps of resetting NVRAM and SMC and it now just gets stup in a boot chime loop. It won't boot from a USB stick either.
