It's funny how my musical past is framed primarily in the rear view mirror of my old mix tapes.
The very nature of mixing means that one invariably plays tracks at different tempos (for beat matching) and will not play the whole thing.
So, hearing certain tracks 30 years later, in full and at their original speeds, when I've only known them through their reflection in that mirror, is quite weird.
