In order to get even closer to parity with the WordPress blog I've added bigfoot.js. 1 I have included a local copy of the jQuery files to save relying on a remote CDN and potentially impact load times.
Part of the reason I use Markdown Extra is because it handles footnotes (base Markdown doesn't) but I've not used them thus far. Now I can.
