My wife and I were lying awake at about 2am and heard an owl hooting somewhere in the trees beyond the rear of the house. It's the first time we've heard it but it carried on for quite a while. Was it calling a mate or just being territorial? Whatever the reason it was nice to hear so we'll be on the lookout (listenout?) for it.

Oh to be as lucky as Austin Kleon as far as owls are concerned.
