Permission to fail

We hear it all the time: you have to give yourself permission to start because you'll never get anywhere until you do.

But you also need to give yourself permission to fail, to mess up, to cross it out and start again.

That freedom to be imperfect, doodle in the margins, rip out the page or - even better - to leave the ruined page in place, mistakes and all.

Today's mistake might be tomorrow's inspiration as even failure contains potential and possibility.
