This week saw the release of the latest patch for World of Warcraft, 11.1.5 Nightfall.
I didn't like 11.1 Undermine(d) so only played it sporadically. There's a lot I didn't complete but did, at least, finish the main story. It just seemed like a lot of filler just to move the story on one step.
With the main action reverting to Hallowfall, I have jumped back in. Being late to the party, I managed to avoid a lot of the problems with the patch — it sounds like it was very buggy on first release.
I think I'm mainly playing again because of the fairly repetitive nature of the current content. I can revert to type and grind for gear without thinking too much. That appeals to my autistic brain.
Yes, this is also largely filler content but it's only a .5 patch that doesn't try to move the needle too much and be more than it is.
# The past few days have seen me working on the second "song" for my next release. It's about the most complex thing I've ever done if you take the number of tracks into consideration: 20.
8 separate hardware instruments with multiple sections, 3 different instances of one virtual instrument, and a second VST. There's a lot going on but I've tried not to overdo it at any specific point.
I'm pretty happy with the arrangement so now need to mix it properly and tweak things if they don't sound quite right.
# Curiously, both of the tracks (so far) are in the key E♭ minor. Maybe I'll make it a theme and write all tracks for this release in that key.
