Mum and baby came home last night. We were surprised that it was so soon after the operation but they passed all their checks and were discharged.
So they could rest, my wife and I took the night shift. ๐ยด
My wife: What happened to that guy who could go clubbing all weekend with no sleep and still go to work on Monday?
Me: He was 30 years ago! ๐
Harry is a pretty quiet baby so we each got a couple of hours sleep from staggering feeding duties.
It's a strange feeling as a grandparent. There is instant love and care but no broodiness; the difference to being a parent is quite pronounced and profound.

Same age as mine. It's great to be able to look after him but we can always hand him back ๐
