Saying yesterday that I had been "actively blogging" for between 13 & 14 years really only accounts for the time on this site and its predecessor. What I called "social blogging" – using a social network like Google+ as a blogging platform – extended that for another couple of years.
It may not be blogging according to strict definition but it served the same purpose; it allowed me to express myself without the trappings of my historical blogging (and blog itself) and dissatisfaction with it.
I think that time, from Nov 2013 to March 2016, made me reassess what I wanted from a blog, made me realise what it could be.
