# So, England is heading for another national lockdown which may extend beyond 2nd December if the R number doesn't come down enough. It's about time as it was pretty obvious the local restrictions weren't working.

It won't make too much difference to me. My wife is classed as vulnerable so we don't go out much apart from taking nice drives out to the moors and hills. We get most of our grocery shopping delivered so the need to go out is significantly reduced.

Working from home is guaranteed for at least another month which gives me longer to find another job and not have to worry about having to travel. I suppose that is definitely a blessing to be taken from this whole situation.

There's the problem that lockdowns significantly impact the economy and people's livelihoods but lives are more important and, perhaps, this illustrates that the economy, and society as a whole, needs a serious rethink and/or reset.
