I've been using a free text to speech website to make spoken vocals rather than try to record something. It's working out nicely and adds something extra that has been missing previously.
Throw in a free vocoder plugin and you've really got something.

Haha! I think that might be pushing it a bit but it's definitely going to be longer with the vocoder changing over time with a funky acid line.
