I've submitted an issue on the rssCloud Server repo as I wonder if there might be a problem with having multiple 'notify' endpoints on the same domain.

PHP-MST on the .blog domain sends the requests fine and they show in the logs at rpc.rssCloud.io but notifications don't appear to be sent when a subscribed feed updates. The instance of PHP-MST at the .me.uk domain works fine.

The only difference between the two is the notify endpoint for /reader on the .blog domain.

I may have to switch my active instance of PHP-MST to the other domain if I can't get it working here.

Typical. Just as I posted that PHP-MST received a notification from the rssCloud server. 🤷‍♂️

Andrew Shell had a look at what was happening on the server and explained that the subscriptions are handled on the full endpoint address so multiple endpoints on a single domain shouldn't have an issue.

I removed the .me.uk feed from the PHP-MST instance on .blog and re-added it. Nothing different. And ... a notification worked.

Go figure!

It's been three weeks since I first made the /updates view live for /reader. I wondered if it might affect how I read the things I'm subscribed to.

I have to say that it has, and I'm loving it!

The change has had exactly the effect I was hoping. I've been enjoying the look and diversity of other people's sites again, looking forward to new post notifications so that I can jump out and soak in the variety. I've left more comments in more places than I have in ages.

Too many comment sections have become toxic or completely disabled so it's nice to find places where I can interact with people who obviously enjoy what they're doing on their sites. It reminds me of how things used to be before the networks.
