Following on from last night, a "Reply by email" link has been added to the end of items in the live RSS feed (not the daily feed) and the light mode comment icons replaced with less janky ones.

Boris Johnson set to hold a Covid press conference with rumours that the Government's 'Plan B' will be implemented, including working from home again, in response to the Omicron variant. A lot of people will be upset at new restrictions being introduced just in time for Christmas depending on how far they go.

Pretty much as expected: work from home if possible, mandatory mask wearing in more places, and Covid passports required for entry to certain venues. Mask wearing should never have been dropped if you ask me.

No lockdown like last December, which will be a huge relief to many. Christmas is still a go and my in-laws can still come to stay.

For the time being.

All we need now is for our joke of a Prime Minister to do the decent thing and fall on his political sword. That would be a nice present.
