I officially accepted my new contract yesterday. Although many of the terms are the same as my current role (it's the same grade position) what makes good reading is Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 – and no on call.

I've not had a job with standard office hours since about '97 so it will feel good to no longer have to work a shift pattern or have a work mobile in my pocket some evenings and weekends.

This is annoying 😆 Google's Area 120 has announced a newsletter service called Museletter.

More work completed on the search page:

• building links for results from the archive so that they redirect correctly
• enable easy switching between blog and archive results
• added J & K as accesskeys for previous and next pages

J & K are pretty standard keyboard shortcuts for previous/next so I also decided to add them to the main blog page and journal.
