Good morning.
Another Monday, another week begins. How do we tell the difference in this lockdown world?
I'm on the early shift this week. When in the office the person on this shift will perform a number a routine of morning checks but, working from home, this can't happen. Consequently, the first hour of the work day is quiet. It's more a case of reviewing any outstanding email, check if anything is coming up on the calendar and then wait for people to start work.
I took advantage of the time to cross off another day on the challenge sheet, another 300 words or so, things that weren't in my notes but are, on reflection, a perfect fit with what I'm writing.
I followed Hemingway's advice leaving a pointer for myself for tomorrow:
"stop when you know what is going to happen next"
Simple but genius.
