# Looking at the Daily View of the blog this morning I started thinking about the beauty of the blank page. Sometimes it can be intimidating but also full of possibilities, just waiting for something to make it better.
Then I read this post from Austin Kleon which links to a number of his past posts on the subject of noise and silence, notably this one from 2017.
"Silence is a space for something new to happen."
"Do not speak unless you can improve upon the silence."
It reinforced my new mantra and made me consider what it is to be a blogger who thrives on writing and posting but ought temper that within these precepts.
There are absolutely days where I cannot improve upon the beauty of the blank page (and do not post) but should there be more?
