Clipboard managers on iOS, however, are a mess by comparison. Clippings need to be manually saved using a share extension or Today widget, pulling you out of your workflow or even the application you are working in. Clip retrieval is just as bad.
Apple argue that this kind of behaviour is for security but MacOS allows apps to intercept the clipboard. If it's for security why allow it on MacOS? Why have two separate security models across different devices?
The argument over whether iDevices are fully suitable for creative work rather then consumption is not helped when such apps are hindered by such a model.

I can't find any official announcement about this feature; is it new or currently in testing? Regardless, it's about time!
