From a personal perspective, firebrick and mediumblue go missing most when using greyscale. I probably shouldn't let that impact my decision too much but accessibility comes in different forms.

When you say greyscale, do you mean a monitor setting? I was going to say firebrick might look quite good, but maybe darkorange would go with the lighter orange you've used in your dark mode. I link playing with link colours. I've just changed mine to lightseagreen (#20b2aa). :)
