# Last night I received an email offering a heavily discounted rate on an online T'ai Chi course. T'ai Chi is something that has always fascinated me and that I've longed to do for years so I may well sign up.
The course includes a number of videos for the different stances, postures and movements but it's not just the physical side that interests me; the whole philosophical aspect in Taoism is a big part of why it interests me and the link it forges between mind and body.
Couple with the meditation practice this could be the start of a good regimen.
@colinwalker Tai Chi is nice, I practised for a number of years, even taught at a basic level. I don’t play much now. I think that it is better to learn from a teacher. It is also worth checking out some of the many different forms and styles. There are a ton of videos of all sorts on YouTube...
@johnjohnston Classes are always tricky for me because of shifts and a long commute so this will serve as an entry point and I’ll go from there. Good to hear you enjoyed it.
@colinwalker I followed this course for a while, with the iPad as my screen. Really good if you're just getting into it - he explains everything pretty well. Worth checking out: www.youtube.com/watch
@colinwalker I hear that. A chance in my commute stopped my regular practice. I hope to restart at some point, maybe before I retire.
@vincent Thanks ? I’ll check that out.
